Many feared dead as building collapses in Kaduna

Tradegy struck on Thursday in Kaduna following the collapse a three -storey building in the metropolis.

Scores of traders and residents were said to have been trapped in the building which served both as residential and commercial building.





Residents as well as traders in the market watched helplessly for three hours without sghting rescue operators.



They lamented that three hours after the collapse of the building, no heavy duty vehicle that could rescue those trapped in the building was sighted.



There is no hope that residents trapped would be rescued alive.



Even the Governor of the state, Ramallan Yero, one of the early callers at the scene of the incident, wept on sighting the building.



He left the scene of the incident and came back at about 4:15pm when a crane from the Julius Beger Constrcution Company had commenced work on the collapsed building
