At least 13 militants suspected to be pirates have been killed in a gun battle with the operatives of the Nigerian Navy along the waterways of Niger Delta region.
The militants numbering 16 reportedly hijacked an oil vessel MT NORTE loaded with 17,000 metric tonnes of Petro Motor Spirit (PMS).
