Indian film actor Amitabh Harivansh Bachchan, who first gained popularity in the early 1970s as the "angry young man" of Hindi cinema, and has since appeared in over 180 Indian films in a career spanning more than four decades, accepted the 'Doctorate in Literature' honor bestowed on him by Jodhpur National University for his exemplary contribution to Indian cinema.
"In Jodhpur at the most exquisite Umaid Bhavan Palace .. to be decorated in DLitt by Jodhpur national University .. honoured !!", tweeted, Big B as he's fondly called by his fans, with the humility that becomes him.
The legendary superstar traveled to Jodhpur with wife Jaya Bachchan. The couple also attended Jaipur's Maharani Padmini Devi’s 70th birthday at the City Palace.
