Boko Haram: It is betrayal to criticise Nigerian army — Presidency




The presidency has urged Nigerians to pray for the troops fighting against the boko haram insurgents, stressing that the highest level of betrayeal of the Nigerian army risking their lives to defend the territory of the country from Boko Haram is to criticize them.





The Special Assistant to President Jonathan on New Media., Reno Omokri in a series of tweets via his handle (@renoomokri) urged Nigerians to appreciate the efforts of the Nigerian army in defending the country at the expense of their lives. He also paid tribute to Flight Lt Aweke Nwakile whom he noted paid the supreme price defending the country from the onslaught of the insurgents.



His tweets read, “Join me in saluting Flight Lt Akweke Nwakile. He died defending us from Boko Haram #Criticizeterroristsnotsoldiers ”



“The highest level of betrayal of troops risking life to defend us from Boko Haram is to criticize them instead of appreciating their efforts”



At this very second, our troops are fighting Boko Haram in Bama. Pray for them and raise the morale of the @HQNigerianArmy by retweeting.”
