She has
previously said the possibility of having her sons coming to watch her
dance would be a big incentive to survive the weekly Strictly Come
Dancing eliminations.
And
as the BBC1 show approached it's seventh week, Judy Murray finally got
her wish of sorts after tennis champ Andy made an appearance during
training with her partner Anton du Beke, which aired on Saturday.
The
Scot looked happy to see the athlete - who has been competing in the
ATP World Tour Finals - before coaxing him into having a quick dance
with her.
After very
reluctantly obliging, the 27-year-old appeared very uneasy, leading
Anton to comment: 'I know where you get it from', on seeing his lack of
moves.
During
the meeting, Andy admitted that he had found it difficult hearing the
judges' negative comments towards his mum, which unfortunately continued
at the weekend.
She
had enjoyed the American Smooth on Saturday of last week, and next up
for Judy was the Paso which she performed to The Clash's, I Fought the
Law.
Taking on
the role of a judge, the star dazzled in an ankle-length red dress,
complete with pleated skirt, before jokingly locking Anton in a
makeshift cell.
It
was a mixed reaction from Darcey Bussell, who told her: 'You are such a
physically strong lady which showed, but it doesn't carry through to
the actual moves. I saw the fierceness in your face but it has to be
exaggerated.'
Head
judge Len Goodman said: 'You went from Center Court to criminal court.
If stiffness was a crime, you'd get life. I hope you're here for
Blackpool as I want to see Craig's face.'
Bruno Tonioli enthusiastically joked: 'You are insane. You break laws and re-imagine dance as we know it'.
However the hard-to-please Craig Revel Horwood added: 'It was all very pedestrian, you just walked your way through it.
'It
would have been nice to see some dancing. I've given up'. Judy was
awarded a low three from Craig and three fives, totaling 18 overall, and
placing her at the bottom of the leaderboard.
