Atiku blasts PDP for bringing untold hardship on Nigerians

A former Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar, has again lashed out at the Peoples Democratic Party’s-led Federal Government for bringing untold hardship on Nigerians through its ineffective policies.

The presidential aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, who reviewed the parlous state of the economy and insecurity in the nation, said Nigeria was sick under PDP.

He spoke on Saturday at the inauguration of a 32-bed hospital built by a member, representing the Ekiti Federal Constituency 1 in the House of Representatives, Mr. Bimbo Daramola.

Answering questions from journalists, Atiku said, “Certainly, Nigeria is not healthy. When you look at the economy and insecurity in the country, you will know that certainly, Nigeria is not healthy.

“The only thing that can salvage Nigeria’s situation is to seize the opportunity to bring about a change by voting in the APC.”

The Turakin-Adamawa also said it was “irresponsible” for the PDP to ask the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal, to resign from his position for defecting from the party to the APC.

The Joan Taiwo Daramola Memorial Hospital, Ire-Ekiti, with fully automated laboratory and well-equipped diagnostic centre, is to be run by the Anglican Church that owns and runs Ile Abiye Hospital, Ado-Ekiti.

Daramola said he built the hospital as a way of giving back to the people for entrusting him with their mandate in the House of Representatives.

Atiku, who commended the initiative, advised the Ekiti people not to mortgage their future for a bag of rice.
