I have no enemies, says Fashola

The Lagos State Governor, Mr Babatunde Fashola, has said that his critics have inspired him to give his best in governance, a statement on Tuesday said.

Fashola, who said he had no enemies, noted that his driving force had been the challenge of “meeting the expectations of 21 million Lagosians who gave him the mandate of leadership.’’

The governor, according to the statement, spoke during the Lagos State Science and Technology week, which held in Lagos. He said his belief in a greater Nigeria inspired him to always give his best.

The LASSTECH week, with the theme “Emerging trends in science and technology and their application in nation-building,’’ attracted over 700 students in the state.

Fashola advised the students to work hard and hold on to their dreams, saying, “All that had been thought impossible globally in the recent past have come to reality.’’

The Lagos State Commissioner for Science and Technology, Mr. Adebiyi Mabadeje, in his remarks, appealed to Nigerians to use modern innovations created by science and technology in accessing goods and services.

Adebiyi said the state government was doing its best to ensure the transformation of infrastructures to make living and business in the state easier for all.
