It was the red carpet entrance that everyone was waiting for on Monday night.
So
when Jennifer Lawrence arrived at The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1
premiere wearing an exquisite quilted Dior gown, she effortlessly stole
the show.
The
Katniss Everdeen actress won all eyes with the floral drop hem design,
smiling widely as she sported an elegant up-do for the London's
Leicester Square film opening.
Jennifer, 24, leads the first part in the third instalment of the franchise with her strong, female character Katniss.
The
Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 - released November 20 and expected to
rake in £100m worldwide - is the first of three parts that sees
Jennifer's character fight against all odds and save a nation moved by
her courage.
Jennifer,
who is forced to sing as well as act in the latest instalment,
experimented with something fashion-forward on Monday night, which
hugged her curves with a lightly quilted fabric.
On the red carpet, she commented on her character's strong, leading role, telling The Sun 'I'm proud to represent strong women everywhere. Like Beyonce said, we rule the world.'
Her off-white dress cut low on the actress' back, making a full impact as she wore her hair up with a neat black headband.
Careful
on her feet - Jennifer has been known to slip up on the red carpet -
she walked on dainty T-bar heels that were revealed with the shorter hem
at the front as she stopped for pictures in front of a wall of
photographers.
She
had been working in Germany over the weekend, not boasting a full bill
of health, but there wasn't a hint of illness in sight on Monday night
as the US actress was glowing.
Jennifer
is going to be touring all over after this week's world premiere,
hitting Los Angeles on November 17 for the US unveiling.
The down-to-earth star is even holding a competition to win a chance to be her guest at the event.
Close
behind her on Monday was Elizabeth Banks, making quite an entrance in a
show-stopping fairytale gown that stretched behind her in an elegant
fashion.
She
chose a medley of stormy blues and floral reds for a stunning a-line
dress style, pinning her hair off her face to showcase her ensemble to
full effect.
Elizabeth,
known in the film as Effie Trinket, showed her cleavage with the
plunging design that dipped to her middle with a navy blue waistband.
Giving the red carpet some man power was Sam Claflin, who donned a burgundy double-breasted jacket against a bright white shirt.
Leading man Josh Hutcherson looked suave in a sharp suit, adding his own fashion touch in a light blue shade.
It
was Liam Hemsworth who stole the attention of the ladies on Monday
night though as he stepped out looking tall, dark and handsome in a
tailored suit.
The
24-year-old actor was sporting a more rugged appearance, having grown
out his beard, but looked like he was enjoying the red carpet for once,
recently telling the AP that Jennifer inspired him on the red carpet.
He
said: 'For a few years I went down a path where I forgot to be in the
moment and enjoy the moment. Being around someone like Jen, who is so
honest and laughs all day long, I am forced to be in the right now. I’m
much happier.'
Looking youthful beyond her 53 years, Julianne Moore cut a sexy silhouette in a black, sheer panel evening dress.
She looked
svelte as she glided down the red carpet on dainty stilettos, pulling a
Gwyneth Paltrow move as she ditched her underwear for the revealing red
carpet garment.
Julianne,
who joins the cast as President Alma Coin in the film franchise,
scooped her characteristic fiery red locks off, having switched to a
grey-black hairstyle for her Hunger Games alter ego.
She
stars alongside the late Philip Seymour Hoffman, who reprised his role
Plutarch Heavensbee before his untimely death in February.
It was a
more classic princess style design for Jena Malone on the red carpet on
Monday night, as the adorable actress picked out a Beauty And The
Beast-inspired gown for the premiere.
Smiling widely, Jena offset her two-tone lemon coloured gown with a bright red lipstick to complemented her flame-red locks.
Jena plays Johanna Mason a sly and cunning character who is stronger and more devious than she appears.
Midnight beauty: Natalie Dormer stepped out in an electric blue sleeved dress with floral details and Katie Rowland jewellery
Natalie
Dormer put her eclectic style credentials on show as she mixed a
structured black fabric with an electric blue sheer skirt and sleeves.
Blonde
beauty Natalie co-ordinated her midnight blue eye make-up with her
dress as she walked the red carpet in the two-tone design.
The British actress didn't forget her remembrance poppy, pinning it to her hip, just where her asymmetric skirt fastened.
Leading the celebrity appearances, was Daisy Lowe who showed off her cleavage in an off-the-shoulder little black dress.
As
much as for everyone else, the low-cut dress acted as a distraction for
the brunette beauty who looked down at her chest to make sure she
wasn't having a wardrobe malfunction.
Alexandra
Burke was also in a classic black dress, but hers was Alexander Wang
from the designer's recent sell out H&M collection.
Newly brunette Gemma Merna made the most of her phenomenal physique when she opted for a red carpet dress with cut out sides.
She swept her stunning new hair do behind her back and smouldered on the red carpet.
Putting
a twist on red carpet styling was singer Lorde, who stepped out in a
cute pussy bow shirt that she paired with oversized harem-style suit
trousers and a large jacket.
Bringing a flash of colour to the carpet was the ever-exquisite Amy Willerton in a scarlet number.
She matched her dress to a rouge lip and pouted as she perfected her look over one shoulder from her years as a beauty queen.
Someone
who didn't have quite as much poise was Jade Avia, a Capital Xtra
presenter whose side split dress was causing her a few issues in the
wind.
Earlier in
the day, it was all business for movie stars Jenna Malone and Sam
Claflin who were in the British capital to promote the film, due out
later this month.
Jenna
looked ladylike in a studded jacket and simple pointed heels, covering
up her characteristic undercut hairstyle with her blonde locks tousled
around her shoulders.
And
while Jenna appeared busy, glue to her mobile phone, Sam looked more
rocked by his jet set lifestyle, seeming tired and sleepy with his hair
in a bedhead style.
